Summer 2011

Hi Everyone,

I hope that you are having an awesome summer!   I just returned from a trip to upstate New York where I consumed massive quantities of fresh picked cherries, raspberries and blueberries and got a little stitching done as well.  The weather was fantastic and needless to say, I got my vitamin C quota for the year.  Fresh picked fruit is such a treat when you live smack dab in the middle of the desert.   We also took a trip to the Canadian side of Niagara Falls and had fun seeing the water from a different vantage point.  I hope that whatever your travel or “stay-cation” plans are that the rest of your summer is terrific.

Now comes the tough part.  Despite coming close to selling the shop on several occasions, I’m sad to report that the brick and mortar part of the shop will be closing on July 30.  Currently, I plan to keep the online portion of the shop running and you can stay tuned for further updates by bookmarking the website:  www.busyneedle.com and watching for newsletters or keeping in touch via my email address which is: busyneedle85741@yahoo.com.  This was an unbelievably difficult decision (you should see my therapy bills!) but I am so proud of what the shop accomplished in almost 9 years of business and so grateful to the Busy Needle Gals who have worked here.  I couldn’t have wished for a better group of ladies!  Each one of them felt as if the shop belonged to them and I think that you will agree that the level of customer service that they provided was unparalleled.  We will miss seeing all of our customers but hope to stay in contact with you online.

In every cloud, there is a silver lining.  This is true even though the shop is closing.  We are having a “Farewell Sale” and are offering 30% off your entire purchase from Saturday, July 16 through Saturday, July 30.  This discount applies to all remaining inventory in the shop.  There are a couple of caveats to this offer.  First, the merchandise must be in stock.  There are no special orders.  Second, the discount does not apply to finishing or framing.  Third, all shop models are priced as marked.  So, check out the website or visit the shop in person to take advantage of this special offer. 

I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart.  I know that closing the shop is tough for all of you as well.  I have so many friends and so many wonderful memories throughout the years that I’ve had the shop and I will always be grateful to have had these experiences.  Please stay in touch and if you get the chance, please thank the Busy Needle Gals for their great service.
